Tag Sale Raises over $300 for Local Charities!

Our annual Tag Sale to benefit local charities raised over $300! Thank you to everyone who donated items, volunteered and/or came out to shop!
Items featured included: clothing, shoes, baby gear, books, toys, games, sports equipment, holiday items, decor, kitchen items, and more! We hope to see you at our next Tag Sale.

Mother's Day Nature Craft for Kids Was a Great Success!
Local children created kid-safe, self-decorated decoupaged flower planters using recycled containers. Special thanks to our 8th grade student volunteers!


Breakfast with Bunny Raises over $3,200 for Local Charities!
The GFWC Paskack Junior Woman's Club, with the help of the Park Ridge Elks, hosted their annual Breakfast with Bunny charity event on Saturday, April 13.  The event raised over $3,200 dollars for local charities!  Guests enjoyed a delicious hot breakfast, music, crafts and pictures with Bunny! The Juniors were pleased to present an impressive tricky tray raffle with donations from local businesses totaling nearly $4,000 worth in prizes!



Bumper Bowling Event Raises over $500 for Local Charities!
GFWC Paskack Junior Women's Club hosted our annual Bumper Bowling fundraiser on President's Day! Thank you to Montvale Bowling lanes and all the attendees. With your help we raised over $500 for local charities!


Youth Creative Writing Contest Winners Announced!
Thank you to all those who entered the Youth Creative Writing Contest. The winning entries are: Luke Moser for the poem "Remember When" and Paige Corcoran for the poem "Psyche Vault."
Congratulations! A local awards ceremony will be held soon so stay tuned for details. The winning entries will be submitted to the statewide writing contest hosted by the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs of GFWC.


Self Defense Class for Women

GFWC Paskack Junior Women’s Club hosted a women’s self defense class that was open to all women in the area, ages 13 and up on Sunday, January 27. Gorilla Brazilian Jujitsu Academy of Mahwah owner/instructor Mike Wilson and instructor Katelyn Petersen lead the class. Attendees learned vital self defense techniques and ways to protect themselves against attackers. This was the second self defense class hosted by the Juniors. We plan to host another class in the springtime. Stay tuned! Stay

Spelling Bee Champion Moves on to State Bee!

The Juniors held our 29th Annual Club Spelling Bee on Friday, January 11 at Woodcliff Lake Middle School. TD Bank-Park Ridge sponsored the Bee providing gift cards to each of the top 3 winners. Forty-nine contestants spelled their hearts out to place in the top three to go on to the next level. Pictured (left to right): Jenny DeRushe from TD Bank; 2nd Place winner Alisha Mohan (Dorchester, WCL); 3rd Place Winner Kaitlyn Conway, (Woodside, River Vale); and 1st Place Winner Joely Ross (Woodside, River Vale). These winners competed on February 2 at the District Bee in the Hasbrouck Heights Middle School where Joely Ross placed second! Joely along, with the District Bee first and third place winners, then moved onto the State Spelling Bee where they competed admirably. Congratulations!
